At Landscapeplus, all our transformers are designed specifically for use outdoors and are manufactured to our own specification. They are based around a top quality isolating transformer, embedded in polyurethane resin (IP67) to offer a high level of safety. They also have an automatically re-setting thermal and overload cut-out for added reliability and can be dimmed, provided the dimmer has an inductive load. Unique to Landscapeplus, our transformers have multiple lead-outs, one per light fitting. This reduces the need for large cables, making installation quick and easy. All our transformers have 1m of cable on the inlet, and come complete with bullet connectors attached to each 1m long outlet to save time on site. For added safety we now have our new fused transformer which protects the low-voltage side from direct shorts and comes with built-in re-settable fuses, one for each outlet.

These optional extension cables increase the distance from the transformer to the light fitting. The bullet connectors are already fitted and come complete with heat-shrink tubing for a watertight joint.

This heat-shrink tubing is lined with adhesive which, when heated (use Rothenberger gas torch), bonds onto the cable to create a secure and watertight low-voltage connection.

To help customers decide on their garden light fittings, it is a good idea to show them real samples. Now you can take this one stage further by also showing the lights working and the effects they will create. With this in mind, we have put together two portable power packs that make it easy for you to demonstrate sample lights in any part of the house or garden without needing to use extension leads, transformers or trailing cables. With a built-in battery and neon work light, the units can be charged either from the mains or via the 12v cigar lighter in your van or car, and come complete with a 2-metre output cable (with crocodile clips) for easy connection to any of our low-voltage fittings. The larger Power Station also has a built-in compressor with air hose, two heavy duty clamps for jump starting vehicles and a power inverter that provides 230v via a standard UK 3-pin socket on the unit - a must for anyone working on site.
