Designed specifically for domestic gardens, 'Pop-up' irrigation provides a new approach to installing automatic irrigation. It is based on a concept of spraying from the edge of the lawn into the middle to create an effect like rainfall. Based on the MP Rotator sprinkler head, 'Pop-up’ irrigation is easy to design, quick to fit and makes the most of the pressure and flow available. As this system uses standard, 19mm LDPE irrigation pipe and fittings, the material costs are low, installation is simple, it and can be easily connected to a solenoid valve and rainwater harvesting system to make a fully automatic system.

To make ordering quick and easy, we have put together all the necessary components for a pop-up sprinkler system as a kit. Simply run the 19mm supply pipe around the boundary of the lawn, then install the sprinklers so that they spray into the middle, usually in 90o arcs for the corners and 180o arcs for the sides. This means a simple open garden measuring 8m x 12m can be totally irrigated (lawn and borders) using just one single-zone kit. Two-zone kits are available for larger gardens, and will cover areas up to 140m2. This uses one system for the right-hand side of the lawn, and the other for the left.

The latest innovation in irrigation, these pop-up sprinklers are designed to make the best of pressure and low flow. This means that more sprinklers can be run from a single supply or zone, allowing you to water even the smallest lawn discretely, efficiently and cheaply. As this system uses standard, 19mm and 25mm LDPE irrigation pipe and fittings, the material costs are low and installation is quick and simple.

Threaded elbows are good value for money, and offer a quick and easy way to connect pop-up sprinklers to the main pipe. Due to the higher pressure with pop-up systems, we recommend using ratchet clamps on all main pipe connections. Installed on the lowest point on the pipework, the drain valve will automatically drain the system, helping to protect it from frost.

Based around an innovative gear-driven head, these lawn sprinklers give remarkably good water distribution, even at the lowest water pressure. Each sprinkler has a range adjustment screw contained in the head. Use a ½" BSP threaded elbow to connect to your LDPE irrigation pipe.

Designed for low water consumption and excellent wind resistance, Mini Rotor sprinklers are manufactured by Claber and offer a practical alternative to the Midi pop-up MPR sprinklers

These Nelson gear-driven sprinklers irrigate using a jet of water that rotates through an arc that can be set on a continuous 360° or a part-circle, adjustable from 40° to 310°. For low maintenance, they are designed with an innovative ratcheting slip clutch to protect the gears from damage, and a unique memory function that automatically corrects the spray to its original setting if accidentally altered. Application rates can be varied by interchanging the nozzles supplied with each sprinkler.

The Nelson 6000 series pop-up sprinklers have all the features of the 5500 but with a bigger range of 8m - 12m. They also have the advantage that they share the same casing as the 5500 and so are interchangeable. This water-driven gear motor from Nelson offers proven reliability, with over 120 million having been sold worldwide. Application rates can be varied by interchanging the nozzles supplied with each sprinkler.

These Toro gear-driven sprinklers irrigate using a jet of water that rotates through an arc that can be set on a continuous 360° or a part-circle, adjustable from 40° to 360° using the unique arc indicating arrow on the top of the sprinkler. With a 5" riser, the Toro Super 800 has that extra bit of pop-up length enabling it to clear tall grasses or plants at the front of a border and Toro's Smart Arc memory function returns the sprinkler to its previously set arc if accidentally altered. Application rates can be varied by interchanging the nozzles supplied with each sprinkler and the radius can be reduced by up to 25% using the radius adjustment screw on the top.

The Toro TR50XT pop-up sprinkler has many of the features of the super 800 but with a bigger range of 9m - 12m, an arc adjustment from 30° to 360° and a screw to adjust the angle of the nozzle (trajectory) from 5° to 25°, ideal for sloping sites. With the contractor in mind, these sprinklers have Toro’s innovative X-flow water shut-off valve for dry nozzle and arc changes, and are fitted with a slip clutch system to protect the gears from damage. Application rates can be varied by interchanging the nozzles supplied with each sprinkler, and the radius can be reduced by up to 25% using the radius adjustment screw on the top.
